Earth Summit 2023 is a 2-day event, that will provide students with a chance to take part in a wide-ranging examination of the factors causing Climate Change, the effects it is having on biodiversity and how we all could live more sustainably at home, at school and in the community.

There will be time for you to take part in up to 3 hands on workshops with experts who are currently making a huge difference working in the climate change industry. This hands on experience can enlighten your students in career paths in sustainability.

The event will open with a series of engaging presentations from experts in the Climate Change industry. Giving your students unique insights into what inspired them to become pioneers and campaigners in the area, they will no doubt pass on their passion for this important cause.

Day 1


Welcome to Earth Summit 2023! After an introduction from our host we will kick off the event with our industry speakers who will bring to life how their business works and develops a sustainable product.


After a short break for lunch, the afternoon session will focus on hands on, close up workshops with leaders on sustainability, industry professionals and pioneers. The afternoon session will close with a panel discussion with speakers and workshop providers.


This evening you have the option to choose free time on campus, take a tour of the renewable energy park or visit the earth observatory (both on campus)

Day 2


Today you will be outside the lecture theatre, choosing from a habitat survey, conservation work on campus, a tour of the renewable energy park or a visit to earth observatory. You will then leave mid morning for Alton Towers.


This afternoon you can enjoy free time at the theme park.


Depart Alton Towers for your return journey home.

With the launch of the Department for Education’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy  in April 2022, the subject of Climate Change could not be higher on the agenda for educators.

Study Experience’s Earth Summit 2023, has been designed to support the Government’s stated aim of enabling the UK education sector to become a world leader in climate change by 2030.

The Learning Experience

Earth Summit 2023 event is across 2-days and will provide students with a chance to take part in a wide-ranging examination of the factors causing Climate Change, the effects it is having on biodiversity and how we all could live more sustainably at home, at school and in the community.

Students will hear from leading experts in the field, participate in a series of engaging hands-on workshops, meet and talk with individuals and agencies working in the fields of environmentalism and sustainability and can even give a short presentation to the Summit on a relevant topic. 

Suitable for 14 - 18 year old students covering key study areas in Geography, Geology and Science for GCSE and A Level, this is a unique opportunity to interact with subject and industry experts. Students will gain unique insights into their subjects which will support their learning , inspire their future studies and help them plan their future career paths. What’s more it will fill them with a passion to become better citizens and to make a difference to the world around them.
