Science Experiences in London

London is a great destination for students, offering a wide range of highly enjoyable educational visits, excursions and activities, within easy reach of your school or college. We offer students the opportunity to experience its world class science museums, take part in specialist education programmes and enjoy bringing their subject to life outside of the classroom.

01 Tour Highlights

London is home to the UK's most renowned galleries and museums; great sporting venues - Wembley Stadium, Twickenham, Wimbledon, Lord's - the renowned West End theatres and a vast array of world famous sights and attractions. You and your students will have the chance to visit a wide number of them and take part in specialist educational programmes, which will all provide new experiences that will stimulate and inspire them, such as:

Science Museum

The Science Museum is committed to bringing science to life, and life to science, offering students the opportunity to see and experience the history, technology and scientific phenomena that they are learning at school. Support your visit with their downloadable resource materials.

Natural History Museum

This spectacular museum now also includes the new Darwin Centre. The Centre, which displays vital research and internationally important collections, is designed to inspire people to think about the natural environment differently and, in turn, to take better care of our planet. The museum offers curriculum-linked events, workshops and hands-on activities.

Royal Observatory Greenwich and Planetarium

Find out how cutting-edge technology and sheer dedication combine to answer some of the most exciting questions in the universe. A range of interactive programmes and resources are available that bring the curriculum to life.

Thames Barrier

The Thames Barrier is one of the world's largest moveable flood barriers. Spanning 520 metres across the River Thames, it protects 125 square kilometres of central London from flooding. Visit the information centre to learn about how the Barrier was designed, built and works.
