Barcelona City Sightseeing Tour

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Barcelona by coach in the company of a local expert guide, who will provide an interesting and informative commentary. The tour will last around three hours and will take in many of the city’s world famous landmarks. You will see Placa de Catalunya, Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, Poble Espanyol, Montjuïc, Fundacio Joan Miro, Museu Maritim, Port Vell, Port Olimpic, Barri Gotic and Parc Güell as well as many more great sights!

La Sagrada Familia

The church of La Sagrada Familia is an iconic landmark and a visit should be in every Barcelona visitor’s itinerary. Work began in 1882 and a year later, Antoni Gaudí was commissioned to carry on the works, a task which he did not abandon until his death in 1926. Since then different architects have continued the work after his original idea and building continues to this day.

Nou Camp Stadium Tour

Home to FC Barcelona, a tour of the Nou Camp Stadium is always a popular choice with student groups. It is a truly memorable experience to visit the Nou Camp and the stadium’s incredible facilities. The stadium also houses the most visited museum in Catalonia, El Museu del Barça.

Poble Espanyol

The Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc is an open-air museum comprising life-size replicas of buildings from different parts of Spain. Built for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona, this Spanish Village showcases the diversity of the country’s squares, streets and houses and provides the opportunity for the all-important souvenir hunting with its many arts and crafts shops.

Boquería Market

A fantastic treat for the senses, the Boquería market offers all manner of Spanish and Catalan produce under one roof: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and seafood stalls display their wares in one of the finest settings in Barcelona, dating back to the early 1800s. Whether you visit to shop, or simply to have a café or some tapas, a visit to the Boquería is a must.

Tibidabo Amusement Park

Located on top of Mount Tibidabo, 512m above sea level, the Tibidabo Amusement Park is located at the highest point on the Collserola Ridge, a magnificent natural park with ten million trees. This amusement park may be over 100 years old but it is still a popular choice for a day out. There are 25 rides to discover for all ages, shows and street theatre, which makes walking around the park a fun attraction in itself. The park also has a wide range of facilities for visitors including restaurants, many with amazing views and picnic areas. Entrance to the park includes the Tibidabo Sky Walk which boasts the best views of Barcelona.

Grand Prix Circuit

The Circuit de Catalunya at Montmeló is the racetrack for international motor racing competitions in Barcelona. The biggest events held there are the annual F1 Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in May and the Catalunya MotoGP in June. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. Visits can be arranged to find out more about the Circuit from the inside and feel the passion for motor sports! Discover how a race is organized and controlled, where the mechanics work, and access to all confined spaces including the Briefing Room, Pre-Podium Podium, the Media Room, Race Control, the Lounge, the Boxes and the Paddock. Visits which include a video followed by a guided tour last just over 1 hour and must be pre-booked.

Further Afield: PortAventura Theme Park

PortAventura is one of Spain’s most popular theme parks, located just over an hour south of Barcelona, and close to the coastal resort of Salou. Beautifully designed the park is set in 6 themed ‘lands’: Mexico, China, Polynesia, the Mediterranean, the Far West, SésamoAventura with thrilling white-knuckle rides, spectacular shows and amazing attractions, including the world’s fastest accelerating ride, the Furius Bacó, rushing you from 0 to over 80mph in 3 seconds! As the park is open nearly all year round you can also enjoy a scary Halloween or a magical Christmas themed visit.

02 Accommodation

Alberg Pere Tarres

This is a purpose built youth hostel that accommodates for students in en-suite rooms with bunk beds. It has excellent facilities and is just a five-minute walk from Nou Camp.

Urbany Hostel

A modern youth hostel located close to the Sagrada Familia – this accommodation has excellent facilities for students and schools.

Equity Point Centric Hostel

This youth hostel is a traditional building in a central location. It is just a few minutes from Las Ramblas, so recommended for older student groups.

Your Meals

Your package price includes continental breakfast each morning. For lunches and dinners you can choose to make your own arrangements, alternatively your Study Experiences Tours Specialist can pre-book packed lunches or arrange affordable, value for money meals from a selected number of restaurants in and around Barcelona.

Your Study Experiences Tour Manager

A Study Experiences Tour Manager will meet your group at the airport, transfer with you to your accommodation for check-in and provide a half day's service/guidance. Additional Tour Manager services can be added to your quote depending on your group's requirements.

Our prices are based on a minimum group size of 20 students.

As our Barcelona trips are available throughout the year, you are able to select travel dates that suit you and your students. Please note that certain dates may carry a supplement to the prices shown. In particular, tours during the Easter Holidays can be prohibitively expensive.
