Religious
Studies in New York
For Religious Studies students
Our five-day tour includes the opportunity to attend two subject specific
seminars hosted by Study Experiences and supported by New York's
religious leaders.
Our tour programme is carefully planned to ensure that you also have
enough time to experience this remarkable city and to visit the
incredible number of sites and attractions it has to offer.
The AS/A Level seminars will focus on the following main topics:
History of religion in New York
Early Catholicism
Faith and immigration
New York - a global melting pot of faiths
Exploration of Judaism
Exploring the life and works of New York's Mormons
During the seminars, our subject expert guests will also particpate in a panel discussion on key religious studies themes, including:
World religions - what should faiths do in order to live together?
Issues in religion - from abortion to euthanasia
Should religion be taught in school? If so, how and in which ones?
