Meeting with University Professor in Beijing

Unique opportunity to meet with an academic for a discussion on life in China. There will be the opportunity to cover politics, economics, institutional reform, education and China's interaction with the West.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center

This museum has five floors detailing the ambitious plans of Shanghai's urban planners, that are based on how Shanghai will look in 2030. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a huge scale model of the city of Shanghai on the 3rd floor, showing all existing and approved future buildings.

Silk Institute and Factory

This tour takes you to the No.1 Silk Factory founded in 1926 as a state owned factory. You will see the workforce in action, including the process of producing handmade silk quilt.

Flight Arrangements

We use the scheduled services of airlines such as Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and KLM. Please see approximate timings below for flights from London (please note that these times are purely for guidance). Flights are also available from regional airports for a supplement.

Outbound: Depart Heathrow 1640hrs, Arrive Beijing 0930hrs (Please note that your outbound flight is overnight, departing during the afternoon and arriving in China the following morning).
Inbound: Depart Beijing or Shanghai 1015hrs, Arrive Heathrow 1405hrs

Hotel Accommodation

Our hotels in Beijing and Shanghai are of a three- or four-star standard, such as the Hotel Rainbow in Beijing and the Jiulong Hotel in Shanghai.
