New York is home to some of the world's most renowned museums, the United Nations Headquarters, the Broadway theatres and Wall Street financial district. You and your students will have the chance to visit them all, as well as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown and Central Park, which will all provide new experiences that will stimulate and inspire them. Museum of the Moving Image
Exploring the history of film, television and other digital media, the museum houses artefacts from every stage of production of motion pictures and television. The museum also offers workshops on political advertising.
NBC Studio Tour
NBC is one of America's largest media networks, You will be guided through the history of the network, their early beginnings in radio entertainment and their transition into the world of television. You will then take a look into the future of NBC by viewing some of their most famous studios.
Paley Center for Media
The Paley Center leads the discussion about the cultural, creative and social significance of television, radio and emerging platforms. Groups can choose from a number of educational 90-minute workshops, including 'The Fine Art of Persuasion: Television & Advertising' and 'Portrayals of Women on Television'.
Wall Street Walking Tour
See the New York Stock Exchange, the Wall Street Bull and the Federal Reserve and hear about the scandals and stock market crashes that have made Wall Street infamous and, crucially, gain an insider's view of what happens behind the scenes.
We use the scheduled services of airlines such as Virgin Atlantic and American Airlines, with departures from London Heathrow. Please see approximate timings below for flights from London (please note that these times are purely for guidance).
Outbound: Depart Heathrow 1300hrs, Arrive JFK 1600hrs
Inbound: Depart JFK 2030hrs, Arrive Heathrow 0830hrs (Please note that your inbound flight is overnight, departing during the evening and arriving back in the UK the following morning.)
We offer a choice of hotel locations to ensure that you enjoy your stay in the accommodation best suited to your students’ itinerary plans and budget. Hotel locations include New Jersey which offers exceptional value, fashionable Brooklyn which is just a few miles from downtown Manhattan, the popular Upper West Side of Manhattan, or in downtown Manhattan a few steps away from Times Square, closest to all the popular sights. All rooms at the hotels have two double beds, private bathrooms, colour television and telephone. Students are accommodated on the basis of four sharing a room. Teachers are accommodated either on the basis of two sharing a room or, for a supplement, in single rooms.
