A living museum of the vibrant, colourful excesses of Modernism - Barcelona boasts more Art Nouveau buildings than any other city in the world - this wonderful city is famed for its architecture, culture, shopping, tapas and above all for its style!

With so much to see and do in Barcelona our included city travel card will enable you to make journeys across the length and breadth of the city. We then recommend you don your walking shoes so you make the most of your visits to each of the attractions.

Take time to stroll down La Rambla, Spain’s most celebrated street. Flower stalls, mime artists, the huge Boquería market, Gaudí’s magnificent Palau Güell and the Liceu opera house, as well as countless restaurants and tapas bars, ensure that progress from Plaça de Catalunya, the city’s central square, to the modern Port Vell area, overlooked by the 200-ft high Columbus monument, is a fascinating experience.

No visit would be complete without seeing the remarkable – and truly awe-inspiring – Sagrada Família, the architect’s towering, unfinished temple which has become Barcelona’s most enduring symbol.

Visiting attractions and free time in a new environment with their fellow classmates builds confidence and strengthens relationships between students. Expanding your students’ cultural awareness makes for a valuable and memorable experience.

The tour will last around three hours and will take in many of the city’s world famous landmarks. You will see Placa de Catalunya, Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, Poble Espanyol, Montjuïc, Fundacio Joan Miro, Museu Maritim, Port Vell, Port Olimpic, Barri Gotic and Parc Güell as well as many more great sights!

La Sagrada Familia

The church of La Sagrada Familia is an iconic landmark and a visit should be in every Barcelona visitor’s itinerary. Work began in 1882 and a year later, Antoni Gaudí was commissioned to carry on the works, a task which he did not abandon until his death in 1926. Since then different architects have continued the work after his original idea and building continues to this day.

Nou Camp Stadium Tour

Home to FC Barcelona, a tour of the Nou Camp Stadium is always a popular choice with student groups. It is a truly memorable experience to visit the Nou Camp and the stadium’s incredible facilities. The stadium also houses the most visited museum in Catalonia, El Museu del Barça.

Poble Espanyol

The Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc is an open-air museum comprising life-size replicas of buildings from different parts of Spain. Built for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona, this Spanish Village showcases the diversity of the country’s squares, streets and houses and provides the opportunity for the all-important souvenir hunting with its many arts and crafts shops.

Boquería Market

A fantastic treat for the senses, the Boquería market offers all manner of Spanish and Catalan produce under one roof: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and seafood stalls display their wares in one of the finest settings in Barcelona, dating back to the early 1800s. Whether you visit to shop, or simply to have a café or some tapas, a visit to the Boquería is a must.

Tibidabo Amusement Park

Located on top of Mount Tibidabo, 512m above sea level, the Tibidabo Amusement Park is located at the highest point on the Collserola Ridge, a magnificent natural park with ten million trees. This amusement park may be over 100 years old but it is still a popular choice for a day out. There are 25 rides to discover for all ages, shows and street theatre, which makes walking around the park a fun attraction in itself. The park also has a wide range of facilities for visitors including restaurants, many with amazing views and picnic areas. Entrance to the park includes the Tibidabo Sky Walk which boasts the best views of Barcelona.

Grand Prix Circuit

The Circuit de Catalunya at Montmeló is the racetrack for international motor racing competitions in Barcelona. The biggest events held there are the annual F1 Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in May and the Catalunya MotoGP in June. With long straights and a variety of corners, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is seen as an all-rounder circuit. Visits which include a video followed by a guided tour last just over 1 hour and must be pre-booked.
