London is home to many of the UK's most renowned businesses and museums; great sporting venues - Wembley Stadium, Twickenham, Wimbledon, Lord's - the renowned West End theatres and a vast array of world famous sights and attractions. You and your students will have the chance to visit a wide number of them and take part in specialist educational programmes, which will all provide new experiences that will stimulate and inspire them, such as:
Bank of England Museum
The museum offers a presentation with Q&A on the role and functions of the Bank of England at the centre of the UK's financial system, how it sets interest rates to control inflation, issues banknotes and works to maintain a stable financial system.
Wimbledon Tennis Museum
Wimbledon's Marketing Workshop, which includes a guided tour of the grounds and museum visit, has been designed to examine the general principles of marketing, using the museum and its unique relationship with The Championships as a case study.
The Thames Barrier is one of the world's largest moveable flood barriers. Spanning 520 metres across the River Thames, it protects 125 square kilometres of central London from flooding. Visit the information centre to learn about how the Barrier was designed, built and works.
Lord's MCC Guided Tour
The Tour not only enables you to experience this iconic sporting venue, but also to learn about the recent developments that have been made to ensure it maintains its status as 'the home of cricket'.
Our tour arrangements are based on providing your group with exclusive use of a 48, 49 or 53 seat coach, which will collect you from and return you back to your school or college. The coach will also provide the transfers between your chosen activities each day and your hotel, to ensure you enjoy the very best arrangements in London. Prices are based on a group size of 40 students.
